LODI GARDENS
| A favourite haunt of the early morning joggers and a bird watcher's paradise, this beautiful park was laid out by Lady Willingdon in 1930 around the majestic tombs of the Sultans of the Sayyid and Lodhi dynasties. The ponds, fountains, bushes and flowering trees offer an ideal habitat for the wide variety of birdlife found here. The important buildings in the park are the Bara Gumbhad Mosque, the Sheesh Gumbad and the Sikandar Mosque. The park is also a favourite picnic spot of delhites. |
